Cory started his waterskiing career off with a bang by breaking the world record and making the Elite U.S.A Water ski team at the age of 13, being the youngest ever to achieve either of these accomplishments.  Cory continued to impress through his illustrious career by winning every major title around the world, including the U.S Masters Championship and US. Open Championship 10 times each and the World  Championship twice.   Cory was also a staple member of the U.S.A Elite water ski team making the team many times from 1977-2009.  Cory also changed the sport of water skiing by breaking 24 World Records and 30 plus US National records. During his career Cory also hit the professional wakeboard tour taking 4 second place finishes.
   

    During Cory's skiing career he spent a great portion of his time organizing one of the premier water ski and wake boarding schools in the world. The Pickos Ski and Wake Board School has been in beautiful Santa Rosa Beach, Fl since 1992. The school takes great pride in working with skiers at all levels from the first time beginner to the professional level. We do have to boast about being the most successful ski school in the world with 10 World Records being set on site, and the current mens and past womens world elite overall champions Javier Julio and Regina Jaquess having trained the last 11 years with Cory. We have had more world records, champions, and world medals from Junior, U-21 and Open, than all of the other schools combined. Cory takes great pride in training his students and you will see him in the boat for hours at a time.
